Prepare for your stay at Medical Park

Your inpatient rehabilitation at our hospital may last several weeks and will include a variety of therapies and treatments. To help you prepare, we have compiled a list of items you may need or wish to bring.
Should you require additional essentials during your stay, our on-site Medical Park shops offer a wide selection of newspapers, magazines, sweets, clothing, and everyday necessities, as well as medical supplies and a drugstore section.

Medical Reports, Medication and Medical Devices
  • Current medical reports and referral letter
  • Current ECG and X-rays
  • Any currently required medication in sufficient quantity to cover your stay with us or a prescription.
  • Any required medical aids (e. g. walker, wheelchair, splint, prosthesis, corset, support stockings, orthopaedic pillow)
  • Prescription glasses
  • Hearing aid
Clothing
  • Seasonal everyday attire (consider bringing clothing suitable for hiking if desired)
  • Athletic or training apparel (for patients requiring assistance with dressing, preferably without lining)
  • Gym or sports footwear, including indoor sports shoes
  • Swimwear (bathing costume or trunks), swim shoes, and a bathrobe
  • Large bath towel (additional towels will be provided by the rehabilitation facility)
  • Comfortable, low-heeled shoes and slippers
Payment
  • Transfer Slips are accepted as proof of down payment prior arrival
  • Card Payments accepted (Debit or Credit Card)
  • Medical Park does not accept cash payments
  • All payments must be completed prior check in

Accompanying Guests

Your friends, relatives and partners are very welcome at any time. To have a trusted person by one’s side is very helpful to many patients. During difficult times an accompanying person can improve well-being for the patient. Accompanying friends or relatives may wish to use our facilities during their stay in order to regain some health. Medical Park offers medical checkup or prevention programs. Feel free to contact us for further details.

Your stay at Medical Park

Arrival
Please make sure to arrive by 4 PM on your check-in day. After registration, proceed to your assigned ward office. You will have an appointment with your physician to discuss your treatment plan. Your daily treatment schedule will be available for you to pick up at the front desk each evening.
Your way to us
We will pick you up from the airport with a shuttle service or take you out of the Rehabilitation Hospital with a chauffeur service. Please inform us about your date and time of arrival.
Cafeteria
You will find a wide selection of pastries, snacks and beverages at our Medical Park café.
Departure
Prior your departure, please make sure that you settle any open bills at the front desk, where you will also receive your final medical report. On departure day, please check out by 9 am at the latest. If you wish, we will be happy to collect your luggage from your room for you.
Dietary Needs
We are able to cater for any variety of dietary need and diet-related disease. Please speak to your doctor about any dietary needs.
Dietician and Nutritionist
Our dieticians and nutritionists offer regular seminars for groups and individual consultation on diets and healthy nutrition. Please speak to your doctor about participating.
Entertainment
We regularly organize a variety of concerts, slide shows, literature readings, lectures and other attractive events for our patients at our clinics. Please register at the front desk for any events you wish to attend.
Internet
Wi-Fi connection is available for your portable devices, for a fee, in the areas of our clinics which are open to the public. You will also be able to use the internet in your patient room with your WLAN enabled notebook or smartphone.
Laundry
There are a washing machine and tumble dryer available for your use against a small fee. Detergent, fabric conditioner and flat iron are inclusive.
Luggage
Should you be arriving by train you may wish to make use of the door-to-door luggage service offered by German Rail (Deutsche Bahn). Our receptionist will be very happy to assist you here.
Medical Park Shop
Our Medical Park Shops offer a wide assortment of functional wear, accessories as well as a selection of cosmetics and spa products. You will also be able to find training equipment such as wrist-based heart rate monitors, TheraBand® products and some souvenirs and gifts here.
Parking
We offer you use of a parking space for your car during your stay with us, or of an indoor garage, subject to availability. Please reserve on arrival at the front desk.
Patient Information
We have compiled some additional information and suggestions for our patients in order to facilitate admission and make your stay with us as pleasant as possible.
Patient Rooms
Most of our patient rooms have their own private balcony or terrace, a height-adjustable bed, telephone for receiving and making your own calls, free TV, Radio and an in-room safe.
Payment
You can obtain cash from Reception using your EC Card against a fee. Apart from cash payments we are very happy to accept EC-Cash (with PIN), MasterCard or Visa Credit Cards in payment of your bills.
Smoke-Free Medical Park
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the clinic grounds. This includes the patient rooms, the balcony, terrace and the area of the main entrance.
Swimming Pool
The temperature of the water at our swimming pools is 31 degrees Celsius. You may use these pool at designated times under supervision.
Visiting Hours
Your visitors are very welcome from Monday to Sunday between 7 am and 11 pm.
Overnight Guests
Overnight guests accompanying our patients are very welcome at our clinics. Please contact us beforehand to make arrangements.
